Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What is the difference between your two reline kits, Perma Soft and ProSoft?

A:  Perma Soft denture reline kit is a very firm reliner an lasts for up to 2 years in the denture according to our customer experiences.
However, the ProSoft Denture Liner is a softer, more flexible liner and very gentle on the gums.  Works great on hard-to-wear lower
dentures and soothes sore gums.  It also works as a tissue conditioner.  It just doesn’t last as long the Perma Soft.  Most
likely 3 months to 1 year.

Q: Is Perma Soft the same as DENTURITE (SEA-BOND)?

A: Perma Soft is  very similar to Sea-Bond’s Denturite in that it is also a powder and liquid you mix together and apply to t
he denture.  It is a SOFT RELINER and lasts up to 2 or even 3 years for some people.  It also sticks better to the denture
from what customers have told us.

Q: Why does Perma Soft cost so much more than DENTURITE?

A:  Perma Soft costs more than Denturite because it lasts much longer and sticks better to the denture.   Perma Soft
lasts up to 2 years, not 2 weeks or months like Denturite.

Q: Can Perma Soft be removed once it’s applied to my denture?

A: Yes, Perma Soft can be removed if necessary.  Just soak in 3% hydrogen peroxide overnight to help loosen the bond
between the denture and the liner.  You can purchase this at your local drug store.

Q: Do you offer a product guarantee?

A: Yes, all of our products come with a 30-day money back guarantee.  Just return product or send us a letter stating

Q:  How do I clean my dentures with a Perma Soft reliner?

A: You can still use effervescent tablets, like Polident, but use a shallow dish and just soak the teeth of the denture into
the solution.  Avoid getting the liner wet from the solution.  You can still soak denture in water overnight.  Use a soft
toothbrush and toothpaste or denture paste to clean the liner.

Q:  How long has Perma Laboratories been in business?

A:  29 Years!

What is a Denture Reline?

What is a denture reline?

A denture reline keeps dentures snug and tight when they are loose.  Loose dentures irritate the gums and may cause sore spots and inflamed gums.

Should I reline my dentures at home?

Great question.  Yes.  Why not.  It cannot ruin your dentures because it can be taken out.  There is no reason why you shouldn’t reline your dentures at home.  The process is easy and affordable.  Just be sure keep regular dentist appointments.

Why do I need Denture reliner?

Not everyone needs a denture reliner.  Some people are lucky enough to have secure-fitting dentures.  However, the millions of people who cannot wear their dentures do need something in their denture to keep it from moving around and feeling miserable.  A denture reliner will fill in the gaps between your denture and your gums and cushion the grip.

How much does a denture reliner cost?

The cost of a denture reline costs anywhere from $200 to $300 at your dentist.  Most insurance companies do not cover this cost.  An over-the-counter denture liner is affordable and can get you by until your next dental visit.

What about denture adhesives?

Denture adhesives are a great way to temporarily hold your dentures in place so you can eat or speak.  They come in a tube and you squeeze the material into your denture and spread it around the denture base.  This forms a suction to keep your denture snug.  An adhesive needs replaced several times per day.

What is the difference between a denture reliner and a denture adhesive?

Both products deliver secure dentures.  As mentioned above adhesives need replaced several times a day.  A denture reliner is a powder and liquid that when mixed together and placed in the denture forms a custom-fit denture liner that stays in the denture for several months or years and does not need to be replaced daily.

Can I use adhesives over a denture reline?

As we cannot confirm how other denture liners work with adhesives, we do know that you can reline over top of Perma Soft denture reline kit.  Perma Soft is a firm relner that lasts up to two years in the denutre.
